Currently LF is running a project known as Conserve Kiboriani:The Fountain of life, the main goal is to conserve water sources and to enhance green agriculture in the war to fight famine and climate change. This will be done through what has proved to be the most economical and effective method of reforesting the worst degraded environments: Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR). Best practices will be documented for replication in the Central Zone of Tanzania.  Carbon trading will be included for incentive purposes.
